Klamath Basin Genealogical Society - DNA Interest Group

The Klamath Basin Genealogical Society DNA Interest Group, which focuses on using DNA data in genealogy research, meets at the downtown Klamath County Library on the first Wednesday of the month at 1 pm.

The full Society meets on the second Thursday of each month at 6 pm.

The general public is always welcome to join in.

Real Reads Book Group: Debt: The First 5,000 Years [Chapters 8-12]

Read books about real issues! The Real Reads Book Group tackles a variety of current social issues – race, gender, immigration, poverty, criminal justice, and more – with nonfiction and memoir titles. We meet on the first Saturday of the month at 3pm at the downtown Klamath County Library.

The group will be finishing up our discussion of Debt: The First 5,000 Years by David Graeber on Saturday, April 4th at 3pm

Art for All: String Art

Our latest Art for All craft seminar series features string art! Learn how to create colorful shapes with just nails and string on Thursdays at 6pm from April 2nd through April 16th!

Participants are expected to come to the April 2nd and 9th scheduled events. The third date, April 16th, will be a time where people can practice their skills and visit.

Please bring your own hammer! We will supply everything else.

Puzzlepalooza: Speed Jigsaw Puzzling Competition

Puzzlepalooza, the downtown Klamath County Library’s quarterly-ish speed jigsaw puzzle solving competition, returns once again! Join us for some seriously fast puzzling on Tuesday, April 28th at 5:30 pm.

Teams of 2-4 players will have 120 minutes to complete a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle. The first group to place their final piece wins eternal glory as the best puzzlers in the Basin! (And we've got, like, actual prizes, too.) 

Players ages 12 and up are welcome.
