This month will cover kidney diseases and how to keep your kidneys healthy, plus a town-hall-style “patient Q&A” of general questions. Join our Ukulele Club on the second Tuesday of the month! This monthly event is for adults and teens. Folks interested in beginner lessons should arrive at 5:30 pm; a general jam session for all skill levels starts at 6 pm.
This is a fun, welcoming club for strummers of all levels! Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned uke enthusiast, you’re invited to come make music with us. We’ll meet monthly at the library for a casual jam session led by a song leader, with chords and lyrics displayed on the big screen so you can follow along—no textbooks required!
The Klamath Basin Genealogical Society meets at the downtown Klamath County Library on the second Thursday of each month at 6 pm. (The Society also has a sub-group, focused on using DNA data in genealogy research, which meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 1 pm.)

Read books about real issues! The Real Reads Book Group tackles a variety of current social issues – race, gender, immigration, poverty, criminal justice, and more – with nonfiction and memoir titles. We meet on the first Saturday of the month at 3pm at the downtown Klamath County Library.
The group will be discussing Make Believe: On Telling Stories to Children by picture book author/illustrator Mac Barnett on Saturday, October 3rd at 3pm.
Join us Wednesday, Oct. 7th at 5:30 pm for the cuddliest disaster movie you've ever seen: Flow, an Oscar- and Golden-Globe-winning animated film from Latvia.
Flow follows a wide-eyed black cat who is caught up in a massive flood. The cat jumps aboard a drifting sailboat, populated by other animals seeking shelter. Can they work together to survive this devastated environment?
Flow is rated PG, has no spoken dialogue (aside from animal noises), and runs for 1 hour, 25 minutes.
