Teen Volunteer Council

Need volunteer hours? Want to do something while bored in quarantine? The Teen Volunteer Council is exactly what you are looking for! The Council is a group of middle and high school-aged youth who work with the Klamath County Youth Services Librarians to help with teen programs, offer suggestions about materials for teens, and more. Members gain leadership skills and volunteer hours. Contact smiller@klamathlibrary.org for details. For ages 12-18.

Book to Film: The Mauritanian

Book to Film meets on the last Wednesday of every month at 5:30pm to watch films based on books and discuss both the book and the movie. Pick up your copy of the current title at the Reference and Information Desk.

We'll be discussing The Mauritanian by Mohamedou Ould Slahi (which was originally published in a heavily-censored version as Guantanamo Diary) and the memoir's 2021 film adaptation on Wednesday, October 27th at 5:30pm.

Memoir Book Group: Let's Explore Diabetes With Owls

The Memoir Book Group meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 6pm to discuss a variety of perspectives on the human condition: tales of humor, tragedy, persecution and triumph.
