The Klamath County libraries are kicking off the 2023 Summer Reading Program Family Performance Series with magician Seth Howard!
Here’s his tour schedule throughout the county:
Let’s play chess at the downtown Klamath County Library!
We’re hosting regular sessions to hang out and play chess for youth ages 5 and up, as well as adults. All skill levels welcome – even if your only chess experience is marathoning The Queen’s Gambit on Netflix a couple of years ago.

The Library Advisory Board meets at noon on the third Wednesday of each month to discuss administrative issues and other topics concerning the library. Interested members of the public are welcome to attend.
The Board is meeting both online and in person. If you would like to attend in person, please call the library at 541-882-8894 ahead of your visit. If you would like to attend via Zoom teleconferencing, please email Library Director Nathalie Johnston at njohnston@klamathlibrary.org to request a video link.
The popular Oregon State University Extension Gardening Lecture Series returns! OSU assistant professor Nicole Sanchez is back to educate you on more gardening topics this summer.
Both the downtown Klamath County Library and the South Suburban Branch Library are hosting a session, so feel free to choose the time slot that best fits your schedule! Our first workshop for the season is all about pollinator-friendly gardening.
This event is postponed until Tuesday, July 25th at 5 pm. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Visit the downtown Klamath County Library for monthly hands-on workshops with medieval history buffs from the Society for Creative Anachronism! Join us for “Time Travel Tuesdays” on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 5pm.
Whether you’re working through grief or making end-of-life arrangements, conversations about death and dying are very important – and, often, awkward to have. Local death doula Marci McEnroe is hosting a monthly gathering at the downtown Klamath County Library to help you get comfortable with these topics: join us on Wednesday, June 28th at 6 pm.
Take a hard look at grade-school bullying in the Belgian drama Playground, screening on June 13th at 5:30 pm at the downtown Klamath County Library.
Join us Tuesday, June 6th and Tuesday, June 20th at 5:30 pm at the downtown Klamath County Library for a variety of adult board and card games!
Build a beautiful tile mosaic in Azul, become a train magnate in Ticket to Ride, win a magical fight in Dungeon Brawl and much more! (Feel free to bring your favorite game to share – aim for something you can teach a table of 3-6 players in an hour or so.)
For more information, call 541-882-8894, or visit the downtown library’s Information & Reference desk.
