Teens

The downtown Klamath County Library is holding a Minecraft build contest for kids and teens in November!

We want to see your coolest, most tricked-out secret forts. (Thoughtful décor? Awesome! Devious traps? Rad!) We’ll be judging entries in three age categories: Ages 5 to 8, Ages 9 to 12, and Ages 13-18. Winners in each category will win a $20 gift card to a local gaming shop.

The local chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is back with another Time Travel Craft at the downtown Klamath County Library!

On Tuesday, Nov. 24th at 5:30pm (note the date change to accommodate the Thanksgiving holiday!), we'll be weaving simple bags to add to your historical garb.

Teen and adult history buffs are welcome to participate. Pre-registration is appreciated to help organizers estimate how much material to bring; reserve your spot here.

Stop by the downtown Klamath County Library on Saturday, Nov. 21st from 10:30am to 12:30pm to learn more about weight loss support through TOPS! They'll have games, activities and prizes to show you more about what they do.

TOPS (short for Take Off Pounds Sensibly) has been helping people ages 7 and up make healthier nutrition choices for 75 years.

For more about TOPS, visit www.tops.org. For more about this event, call us at 541-882-8894.

Join us at the downtown Klamath County Library on Thursday, Nov. 19th at 5:30pm to design a one-of-one limited edition t-shirt!

We'll be using fabric crayons to draw and iron on our designs. We need to know your t-shirt size! Sign up using this form.

For ages 12 - 19.

For more information, call us at 541-882-8894.

Puzzlepalooza, the downtown Klamath County Library’s quarterly-ish speed jigsaw puzzle solving competition, returns once again! Join us for some seriously fast puzzling on Thursday, Nov. 19th at 5:30 pm.

Teams of 3-4 players will have 120 minutes to complete a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle. The first group to place their final piece wins eternal glory as the best puzzlers in the Basin! Players ages 12 and up are welcome.

Registration required! Just follow these steps:

Join our Ukulele Club on the second Tuesday of the month! This monthly event is for adults and teens. Folks interested in beginner lessons should arrive at 5:30 pm; a general jam session for all skill levels starts at 6 pm.

We’ll meet monthly at the library for a casual jam session led by a song leader, with chords and lyrics displayed on the big screen so you can follow along—no textbooks required!
