The downtown Klamath County Library is hosting another "murder mystery" roleplaying event for adults! Join us Wednesday, August 27th at 5:30 pm for The Deadly Inheritance!
Wealthy Wilbur Covington has passed away, and his family, friends and loved ones have gathered to pay their respects… and see what Covington left them in the will, of course. But someone among you is willing to kill to increase their stake in the inheritance…
Read books about real issues! The Real Reads Book Group tackles a variety of current social issues – race, gender, immigration, poverty, criminal justice, and more – with nonfiction and memoir titles. We meet on the first Saturday of the month at 3pm at the downtown Klamath County Library.
The group will be discussing Disability Visibility: First-Person Stories From the Twenty-First Century, an anthology edited by Alice Wong on Saturday, August 2nd at 3pm.
We've got something special cooked up for our latest Teen/Adult Magic: the Gathering event coming up on Thursday, July 31st at 2pm... a sealed Scourge event!
...What do you mean, "why are we playing with an expansion set that came out more than 20 years ago?" Well, we have a few reasons:
Crack a cold case at the library! We'll have a variety of "Hunt a Killer" style investigative games for you to solve on Wednesday, July 23rd at 5:30pm.
You'll have to closely read documents, examine evidence and scrutinize witness reports to figure out what happened! (The mysteries are also set to different difficulty levels, so there will be something to try whether you're a seasoned detective or brand-new to this style of "escape room in a box" games.)
No registration necessary. Call us at 541-882-8894 for more information!
The Klamath County Library Summer Performance Series continues with an unusual performer: Louis Pearl, aka "The Amazing Bubble Man."
Pearl has been blowing mind-bogglingly large bubbles with his inventions since 1980. Preferring to play with his toys rather than sell them, Pearl sold the toy company he started and started performing as The Amazing Bubble Man in 2002.
He'll be appearing at the following library branches:
Our summer of fun continues on Wednesday, July 23rd at 10:30 am with a walk around Veterans Park! We'll meet up first at the downtown Klamath County Library, head to the park, and then loop back to the Klamath County courthouse lawn for a free lunch for youth.
