Love Our Library Week

February 13th through 19th is Love Our Library week at the Klamath County Libraries!

Now as always in our history, reading is among our greatest freedoms. We believe that librarians have a profound responsibility to give validity to that freedom to read by making it possible for the readers to choose freely from a variety of offerings.

Dinosaur Month!

April is Dinosaur Month at the Klamath County libraries! RAWR! Celebrate the mighty beasts of prehistory!

Starting Monday, April 5th: Oregon’s Dino-Story! Through a pilot partnership with the University of Oregon’s Museum of Natural and Cultural History (MNCH), all Klamath County Libraries will get a hands-on science kit detailing Oregon’s prehistoric creatures, while supplies last. For ages 5-12.

After you pick up your kit-

Summer Event Series: Big Truck Expo

We wrap up a summer of special guests at the downtown Klamath County Library with a fan favorite: the Big Truck Expo! Get up close and personal with the vehicles that make Klamath Falls go on Wednesday, August 20th at 10:30 am.

From municipal vehicles like fire trucks, ambulances and police cruisers to construction equipment like dump trucks, graders and excavators, there's something for everyone!

Lunch for youth will follow on the Klamath County courthouse lawn.

For more information, call us at 541-882-8894.

Baby/Toddler Sleep Seminar

Get tips on how to get your little ones to sleep in a seminar on Monday, August 4th from 1 pm to 3 pm at the downtown Klamath County Library.

Emma Byrd Harding -- a certified pediatric sleep consultant who knows what it's like to be a sleep-deprived new mom -- will give you strategies to help you and your child rest, whether they're a newborn in a crib or a toddler with a big-kid bed (who's sometimes stubborn about bedtime). Harding operates her company, Baby Byrd Sleep Consulting, in Klamath Falls.

No registration is necessary. For more information, call 541-882-8894.
