Astronomy at Home

You don’t need a telescope to search the night skies! Learn all about how you can use binoculars, mobile device apps and your good ol’ eyesight to explore astronomy with Astronomy at Home on Thursday, September 16th at 6pm at the downtown Klamath County Library.

Summer Sessions: In-Person Events for Kids and Teens!

We are holding Summer Sessions for ages 3-5, 6-12 and Teens all around Klamath County throughout the summer. Check your calendar and contact or visit your local library to pre-register. The sessions will all be the same, so it doesn't matter when or where you sign up to attend!

Pre-registration is required so we can keep our groups small. Please register one Summer Session per child.

Story Hike at Kit Carson Park

Check out our Story Hike along the Kit Carson Park walking trail throughout May! Enjoy Ryan T. Higgins’ picture book We Don’t Eat Our Classmates page by page as you walk along the trail system near the play area at Kit Carson Park, which is located near the Pacific Terrace neighborhood along Crater Lake Parkway.

For more information, call the downtown Klamath County Library at 541-882-8894.

Flower Month

May is “Flower Month!” From papercraft to real-life flowers, get some spring color going with these craft kits, available at the Main Library as well as the Bonanza, Chemult, Chiloquin, Malin, Merrill and South Suburban branch libraries, while supplies last. Need help? We post an instructional video each week on the Klamath County Library YouTube channel. For ages 5-12.
