"Oops, All Bulk!" Casual Magic: the Gathering Deckbuilding Event

When we started Magic: the Gathering events here at the library, we promised attendees free cards. But we never promised they'd be good cards.

One player's trash is another player's treasure in our "Oops, All Bulk!" event on Thursday, June 26th from 2 pm to 7:30 pm.

No registration necessary – stop by any time! We'll be picking through a giant box of random Magic: the Gathering cards all day, building decks and testing them against each other.

This event is for both teen and adult players ages 12 and up.

Doc Talk with Dr. Decker: Lung Diseases

Sky Lakes family medicine physician Dr. Stewart Decker is back for another jargon-free discussion on health issues! This month will cover diseases of the lungs – conditions like asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and lung cancer, among others – plus a town-hall-style “patient Q&A” of general questions. (Also a great time to suggest future Doc Talk topics!) Like our Lay Person Legal presenters, Dr. Decker’s ability to comment on your specific condition is limited.

Adult Writer's Group

Now on a new day of the week! The Adult Writers Group meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 2pm, and it’s open to anyone who wants to improve their writing skills in a positive environment. No previous writing experience necessary!

We’ll have writing prompts and discussion to get you going, and feel free to bring in something you’re working on to workshop with the group.

For more information, please call 541-882-8894.

Warhammer Alliance

Learn how to play this tactical war game with armored Space Marines, ferocious Orks, monstrous Tyranids and more! This event is a continuation from May and is currently closed to new participants. For teen and adult players ages 12 and up. For more information, contact Ben at 541-882-8894 ext. 32 or at bluff@klamathlibrary.org.

Klamath Basin Genealogical Society - DNA Interest Group

The Klamath Basin Genealogical Society DNA Interest Group, which focuses on using DNA data in genealogy research, meets at the downtown Klamath County Library on the first Wednesday of the month at 1 pm.

The full Society meets on the second Thursday of each month at 6 pm.

The general public is always welcome to join in.

For more help with your genealogy research, see our genealogy page.

Adult Board Game Night

Join us for a variety of adult board and card games!

Build a beautiful tile mosaic in Azul, become a train magnate in Ticket to Ride, win a magical fight in Dungeon Brawl and much more! (Feel free to bring your favorite game to share – aim for something you can teach a table of 3-6 players in an hour or so at most.)

For more information, call 541-882-8894, or visit the downtown library’s Information & Reference desk.
