Foreign Film Night: No Bears

United States

Now on a new day of the week! Join us at the downtown Klamath County Library for a screening of the Iranian drama No Bears on Thursday, April 11th at 5:30pm!

Iranian dissident and film director Jafar Panahi – who was convicted in 2010 on charges of propaganda against the Iranian government – plays a fictionalized version of himself in No Bears. Forbidden both from making movies and from leaving Iran, Panahi secretly films a documentary about a couple attempting to secure a pair of fake passports so they can flee the country. But taking photos of the border village where he’s filming gets him involved in another couple’s ill-fated story…

No Bears is unrated, in Turkish, Persian and Azerbaijani with subtitles, and runs for 1 hour, 46 minutes.
